    Best NYC Thrift Stores?

Am in New York for three days and have a couple hours free tomorrow afternoon. What are some good thrift stores for men's clothing? Would love to finally score a navy blazer.

Anything in Manhattan? I'll be up near the UN and could dip down to 23rd Street or so but might be too far to cross the river on this trip.

If you're going to be on the east side, there are several thrift stores on and around East 23rd street. I forget all the names, but on 23rd and 2nd/3rd-ish there's Opera something or other, a Goodwill and/or Salvation Army, and then some random thrift stores here and there as you go up Third Ave. from 23rd street. It's a nice way to canvass 4 or 5 thrift stores in one short walk. You'll want to google/yelp it beforehand so you're not wandering aimlessly in the area.

Further uptown, there's also a cluster of thrift stores on the Upper East Side you could yelp. I find some of them absurdly pricey, but it's a well-heeled area so there are often finds to be had in the more reasonably priced ones.
