    Timex Weekender

I just picked up a weekender with the Groupon from last week and have started looking at additional straps. Can someone confirm that the standard band width is 20mm?

Also, does anyone have favorite straps they'd recommend? So far I am considering:

If you want to do a cloth strap, I've heard nothing but glowing reviews about these:

I've got a dozen or so of the various Maratac straps and they are nice. Some are a bit thick and stiff, but they are all nice quality. My favorite is the Mil Series NATO, I'm wearing the #223 on my Oris BC3 right now. It's thin and flexible compared to a lot of the others. I would recommend that series in the correct size for the Weekender.

If you're looking for cheap straps, target sells some for $6.99. I've got a red one from them and a green one from j crew.

$3.99 at michael's arts & craft store. even cheaper if you can find a coupon, which they often post online & send out in the mail.

I have to agree with nftmlk. I actually picked up one of the leather straps from Michaels this morning. It looks pretty darn good. Even better for 3.99. My local store had a black version as well, so I grabbed it because it was the last one they had.

Those straps from Micheals are usually located with the beads and the bracket making supplies.

FWIW I checked out the Michael's strap and wasn't really crazy about it. I ended up ordering this one from Crown and Buckle.

I like it a lot. The customer service was also very good. I originally ordered the wrong size and sent them an email as soon as I realized my mistake. They were very responsive and changing my order was not a problem. The shipping was also fast, I ordered on Sunday and received it in the mail on Wednesday. Overall, good product, good price, good customer service. I would definitely recommend.

My only complaint is that they don't have the 20 mm available in this color.

Other than that, very good experience.
