    Post-purchase rationalization

Do I know this feeling or what. Buy something but instead of just regretting it and returning it, I'll rationalize why I got it. Let's start a self-help group.

#1 rationalization reason in my life right now is some variant of "blame it on medschool." Either it's stress because an exam is coming up really soon, or mindless consumerism after the exam because I need to blow off some steam. Not a good plan.

Most recent one isn't even clothes: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/produ...ing-preserving I don't know why I got these. But they look cool and I guess I'll start making juices or drinks to put in there. Also better than a Brita if I'm having a lady over. See - rationalization.

A good article I always like to revisit. I'm very guilty of buying things on sale even if it doesn't fit me perfectly.

My favorite rationalization : "Shipping it back would be too complicated/expensive".
