I absolutely love it as well. I love it so much that I would not want something that looks like it, but would rather save my pennies to one day buy the real thing. The SpaceX or the JH 80th will be my next watch. Both have surpassed the Monaco on my wish list.
A suggestion: Keep an eye on the watchuseek.com classified for used models. This is how I bought my first Formula 1.
Nice watch. I am over my expensive watch phase so I won't be buying it, especially not at $5800. Tags usually depreciate pretty quickly on the secondary market so you might be able to pick it up around $3000 a year from now.
The Longines Master collection has some watches that are somewhat similar to the Tag. Although with their last price increase, they'll run you about $2800 so still not much of a bargain.
@tdig I think it's actually the strap that makes the watch! You could take one of the Junkers posted above, put that strap on it, and make it look insanely better.
