Late summer - early fall outerwear

When the weather is getting colder, but not cold enough to wear a wool peacoat, what kind of jacket do you tend to wear in casual occasions? Varsity/Letterman jacket, leather jacket, a warm blazer?

I'm looking for some inspiration. Right now I have a black pre-Dappered cotton jacket, I would like to replace it with something a bit more stylish and versatile.

I have this LL Bean Signature Jacket in Dark Khaki, which is pictured below but no longer available. It looks like they only have the Stone color left in L & XL.

Shawl collar cardigan. Also just bought a vintage Levi's trucker jacket, which could be layered over lots of different things.

I got in on the Banana Republic 30% off sale back in late August and picked up two of these sweaters. I'm a big guy and need XXL Tall. I'm wearing one today actually and it's PERFECT over a light polo.

EDIT: And I'm a douche. Just read that this thread is about JACKETS. Whoops!

In the fall I tend to wear the lining to my Columbia parka quite a bit. Not the most stylish, but until I get the scratch to work on outerwear (I'm working on suits and everday stuff now), it will suffice.

I'm gonna vote against the LL Bean jacket that Juan posted. I got it and the fit was very awkward, it's been in my closet waiting for returning for months.
