I like that tie. Which one is that?

I grabbed it during the SuitSupply Outlet sale. It was the plain grey wool tie.

There is too much going on with this fit for my taste. 4 patterns, a lapel pin, and a tie bar. I feel like if you lost the pin and tie bar then the tie was a paisley pattern this could work but I don't like the polka dots. 4 pattern is tough to pull off and I have to say this is a miss.

Agree entirely. 4 patterns can be great but this was not, from the colors, to the scales, to the patterns themselves.

I think it would have worked with a different pocket square. IMO that's what threw it off.

This is obviously a candid and not posed, and not today but last week.

"The Uniform" - Blue sport coat / gray pants / suede shoes

I saw this style idea a few years back and have been lusting after it since. I really want a 3-2 roll navy sport coat with patch pockets in the future as I saw a Pitti pic of one.

I should stop spamming these shoes and this sport coat...

great look, that is my go to combo as well (not suede too often though). I like it better with a more blue navy blazer though.

This looks great. The only thing I'd add is a pocket square. I really like how the tie adds some color and contrast to the outfit.

Solid "argument boots" outfit, LesserBlackDog , good luck in court!

stungray - generally I'd say a PS could be nice, but for court you generally want to wear nice stuff, but don't over do it on the dapper/dandy side (i.e., keep it more conservative), especially if you're one of the younger guys present. I think LBD's choices do that very well.

I considered that, but I think something simple like white square fold just barely peeking out of the pocket would give it some subtle pizzazz without drawing too much attention.

Eh, not really digging my sock choice today at all, but, hey, whatevs. I've been wearing the hell out of this SS cardigan I picked up from the outlet...I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do, considering how fuzzy the mohair is, but it's been getting worn a lot since I got it.
