Any recommendations for more fall rigs with the pants?

I am actually a big fan of Club Monaco cardigans in both wool and cashmere. The cashmere one I have does pile a little bit, but it is ubersoft and uber warm.
If you have the expendable cash, I would highly recommend checking out Brooks Brothers (not Red Fleece line), J Press, and O'Connell. Going with a tie, you can always go with a solid color. Like sweaters, I do love that you can get different textures and fabrics. Honestly, I think you just need to play around and don't mind the Mr. Rogers jokes that will come your way when you first wear one.

I think there is too much dissonance between formal (suit, black captoes, and tv-folded white square) and casual (the knit tie and chambray (?) shirt). Fit looks excellent as always, JDI, but I think a poplin and different tie--a neat or a grenadine--would elevate this. YMMV.
