Thanks for your comments, Mr. Barwick! I think you're quite justified in asserting that point, given the style/fashion perspective from which you come.

I, on the other hand, come from a different tradition – the Ivy League Look – which I've been lazy enough to keep wearing long since its fashion expiration date in the late 1960s. In that tradition, a white contrast club collar, with a blue oxford cloth body is a perfectly acceptable look. Lord knows, there are even Geezers like me who enjoy wearing the contrast collar look with sport coats!

What I like about the look (and most of the ones you post) is that it feels like a personality is on display more than clothes. I see subtle hints of character in the choices you make, and its fun to see.

Today's is a variation on my most recent WIWT, including a shoe upgrade per [MENTION=2492]LosRockets[/MENTION]' suggestion. Temp's going to be 100°F today. Rumble grumble. I have no good reason to be dressed up at the office today so honestly I might go home at lunch and switch to a polo and linen pants.

I like the colors going on though the contrast between the jacket and pants is a bit much which makes it confusing to my eyes. I assume someone will mention your shirt sleeves are too long but the better thing to do than taking it to the tailor is just to move the button and sew it yourself so the sleeve opening is less and moves it up your arm a bit. I say this because there are a couple of Brooks Brothers shirts I have with wide openings and moving the button has helped keep the length but show less sleeve.

Hopefully that made sense on the shirt sleeves. Keep posting!
