I've never done one of these before. I thought I'd give it a try. I am trying to heavily make use of thrifted items these days. My wardrobe is humble.

Sport coat - Zenga cashmere - thrifted for $7.

    Shirt - CT - thrifted for $4

    Pants - BR chinos - thrifted $4

Watch - given to me by wife (then fiancée) probably 15 years ago. It's my only "nice" watch

Shoes - beater Florsheims. I think I got these back in 2000 around when I graduated law school.

Jshackleford, nice sweater. I've been looking for something similar to that in navy wool, but no luck.
Wahoo1997, that sportcoat looks very nice, from what I can see of it.

Thanks! It's the italian wool one from this year, I picked it up pretty cheap on Black Friday. There's the navy lambs wool from JC also, and I have a donegal one from JCF in navy?

These were from a couple days ago, but they were kind of a repeat of my original post -- different colors in most cases, but the same general stuff. I also decided to show my face just this once (pardon the zits).

          LL Bean Shetland sweater
          J. Crew Secret Wash button-down (you can't see it very well; the previous photo was blue gingham, while that day's photo was blue and tan tattersall -- or something similar to it)
          Levi's 505 jeans
          Dickies belt
          PRL socks
          vintage Sebago Campsides

One more . . . this was from yesterday:

            Brooks Brothers flannel shirt
            Levi's 505 jeans
            Dickies belt
            Woolrich hiking socks
            Sebago Campsides

Here's a little bit more of the socks:

That's just Part 1, though. Stay tuned for Part 2!

              Time for Part 2!

Later that day, a new package arrived -- 3 pairs of J. Crew camp socks. So I swapped out the Woolrich's with one of the J. Crew's:

              Sock by itself:

              With Sebagos:

As you've probably already figured out by now, my Sebago Campsides are my one of my favorite things to wear with jeans, second only to cowboy boots.

Been a while since I posted here. Fairly conservative business attire after a very long day:

                  Suit: Benjamin
                  Shirt: CT
                  Tie: Sam Hober
                  Shoes: Meermin
                  PS: TTB
and no pic taken in my household is complete without a random toy: Winnie the Pooh rattle

Creature, looks good, I like the sweater. I like the pea coat too, but mine JC Dock pea coat is longer in length. I'm not sure if the longer length is better or the standard shorter length.
Jamie, the suit looks great, but the tie makes it look very (very) formal.

The coat is a 40R. I usually wear a 42L. My tailor let the sleeves out all the way on it,. made them just the right length. I wanted it to be a bit longer, tried it over a sportcoat but it didn't cover the sc completely. I had my eye on the mossy green JC coat, but this one only cost me the tailoring fee! It's growing on me.

The sleeves look just right. I guess the coat length is just a matter of personal preference, but it sounds like you got a great deal.

I'd agree with that. In real life the tie has more of a bluish teal cast (its technically Sam Hober's sky blue - silver grenadine), its not captured well in my picture or on their website, but I think its a little less monochromatic in person:

But this would be a good wedding ensemble. I typically go with a darker tie with this suit (which is actually a mid-grey rather than the charcoal it appears in my pics), but thought I'd give this a try. I think this tie pairs nicely with a navy suit too.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The tie looks silver in the pictures and looks like it would be a great wedding tie. I would just be careful about wearing it during a regular business day.
