At the tailor - pants are actually hemmed better than they appear. Pocket square stopped behaving, it was actually just folded straight across.
details on the pants: http://imageshack.us/a/img4/1831/gebx.jpg
Jacket: BR Linen/Cotton
Shirt: Thomas Mason for BR (thrifted, a tad loose around the neck but i like the fabric)
Pants: Bonobos lightweight pants
Shoes: RL Innswood

Disagree pretty strongly with the idea that Shomas' (awesome) outfit would benefit from a small injection of color. He's pulling off the monochromatic/color family look exceptionally well here. Changing only 1 of the shirt, tie, or PS would to be doing less with more. I could see an argument for changing all three, or both the tie and the PS, but then you'd essentially be changing the whole outfit rather than just tweaking it. No tweaks necessary, imo.

Vicious, I like the shirt and pants look, it makes navy pants work!
Shomas - I like the look, I tend to dress very blue/blue/blue so it works for me!
PJ - I think MarkB already addressed it but your outfit feels a bit jumbled and maybe it's just me but the colors don't sit well together. Pants do look nicely tailored though and the shirt looks like it fits, which is awesome! I would have no idea on how to wear those shoes so good luck, and more power to you for having the guts to pull it off.

This is my first go with this oxford Thompson suit all put together. I Think I'm pretty happy with it, altogether, though I think the pants could stand to be slimmed down a bit.
Question, I've noticed that your blazers fit exceptionally well, do you have them all tailored or are they OTR fits?Check out my men's style and fitness website: www.wellbuiltstyle.com

Long time reader, silent judger, first time poster (in wiwt)
Had a wedding last weekend. First real occasion to dress up in a while (I'm a grad student otherwise)
Not sure what I should have done for a PS, but not super happy with what I used.
Shirt: Ratio
Suit: JCF
Tie, bar, cuf knots: tie bar
Shoes: AE seconds (you can't see the lacing but I assure you it was bar, with minimal gap :P)
Watch: Orient

BJ and Shomas, looking killer. BJ, linen feels good in the heat, doesn't it? Shomas, I like the monochromatic look now and again, too. But I have that red grenadine tie from the knottery, and it would look good with that suit, too.
LosRockets, I like the jacket. Is that shirt worth it even on discount? What kind of fabric are we talking about? Like smooth as the soles of a baby's foot or something?
Vicious, I love yesterday.
JonB, looks great. Purple and navy is a great combination. Is the jacket a bit tight? Maybe that's just you holding the phone up.

@BB: The shirt was worth it for $10 for a color I don't already have (it's a light brown/beige/white gingham where the white squares have a raised texture). It's not as soft as the J Crew Thomas Mason fabric for some reason but it's decent. Honestly I probably should have said I like the pattern and not the fabric, as the fabric is nothing special. Also, BR doesn't collar w/ Thomas Mason anymore, this is from Holiday 08 (per the tag) but was in excellent condition. I thought it'd look nice with navy jackets and I think it does.
Also, as a side note, loving linen. I was at the tailor picking up a pair of linen pants I had tailored to look non-harem-y (a linen/cotton blend from BR I picked up on ebay for $15), and love my linen/cotton BR shirts.
JonB: Everything that BB said. Except I think he meant burgundy.

JonB, I agree that your getup looks great. I went to a wedding a couple of years ago with the intention of looking like that. I spent some cash on it and...failed. The missus is OK with the pics and nobody escorted me out of the reception, so I don't grind my teeth about it every night, but I look back in (mild) disappointment. You did a damn fine job and probably spent less (bastard), so take a victory lap.
