I'm definitely looking for a corduroy sports coat. That one looks really nice. It appears to fit really well, especially for a "factory" piece. Did you have it tailored any?

@ AnonymousJay - No, I haven't had it tailored. I'm normally a 36R and I got this jacket in a size small. It fits a little more relaxed than I would get in a suit jacket, but as a more casual piece I like it a lot. The sleeves are slightly long (I've rolled them back as you can see) and I might get them shortened at the tailor eventually, but I don't think it needs to get taken in at the sides.

A couple things to note about the jacket that you won't find on the website:

-No sleeve buttons, which is ok by me, but definitely makes it more casual

      -Suede elbow patches

      -Partial chambray lining

-The color appears brown in natural light and olive green in artificial light.

Also, it's a 3-button jacket, but the lapels are unstructured so they will lie like a 2-button if you only do up the middle, as I've done in the picture. I also like to turn up the collar and do the top two buttons when it's chilly out.

If you're looking for a dressy corduroy blazer, this is probably not for you, but if you're looking for a casual sport coat with a bit of English flair, I can definitely recommend this one.

          Jeans: 514s

Layering for warmth on a cold, rainy Saturday morning. I love these cooler fall temps! Now, if only it would snow instead of rain!

            Polo: Mossimo (Target)

            Cardigan: Mossino (Target)

            Pants: Gap

Belt: Some no-name brand from Sierra Trading Post

Shoes, not shown: Earthkeepers moc-toe boots

Watch: Seiko 5 on brown leather strap

@ Tat - Your Timex looks really slick with that outfit!

@ BrianB - I dig the suede elbow patches. They add character to any jacket or sweater!

              Like that Cardigan.

              Would have never guessed Target.

Last night I wore an outfit I like to call country bar chic: torn up Levi's 514s, a slim fitting plaid camo shirt from Bass Pro Shops, and boots (in this case Sebago Beacons).

                Here's today's:

                Cardigan: WE

                Shirt: LEC

Jeans: H&M (they're black and really slim; not my favorites but I think they work here)

After 9 hours with the kids, things are looking a bit rumpled again, but here was Friday:

Blazer: INC Ultra Light (scored for $12)

Shirt: Custom made when in Korea

                  Tie: I believe H&M

                  Pocket Square: The Tie Bar

                  Pants: Banana Republic

                  Belt: Kenneth Cole NY

                  Shoes: Bed Stu

Close up shows the slight striped/extremely subtle gingham-y pattern to the blazer. Some collar gap going on, but hey, $12 blazer.

The tie is a bit slim for my taste, but it was like $5 and I love the pattern. I know ties can be slimmed, can they be widened at all? I'm guessing not as the fabric likely isn't there?

                    Khakis: Lands End

                    Pocket Square: handkerchief from Macy's

                    Shoes: Thrifted Florsheim penny loafers

@ Jason - Way to rock the bold tie, man. That blazer's pretty slick for a thrift find, too.

@Ben thanks! The sport coat fit perfectly without any tailoring. I got it and the tie together and the coat has subtle green and purple lines in it that echo the colors of the tie.

@Tat Looking slick. I love the shirt. I'm going to have to look up Peter Millar.

@Jason...I gotta tell you I see a tie like that and I get intimidated. Looks sharp...might need to start branching out!

@Brian I just trust my girlfriend. She has an eye for color and pattern that I don't and when she tells me something will look sharp I just do it and she's always right.

That looks very similar to a tie I have from
