Do slide on tie bars stay fixed well?

    Yes, it definitely should. I don't like the ones with the teeth since I think it'll someday rip right through my shirt.

    thanks! i suppose the tie bar, although made of metal, is not too heavy, and can hold onto the fabric well.

    I have a tie slide from Thetiebar.com, and it works pretty well. The key is to never open up the tie slide as you can never really pinch it back and therefore it won't hold as tightly.

    Thinking about getting one. Anyone has used it? Does it stay in place all day after you put it on? Looking at the design, it seems very slide-easy compared to the clip type ?with a spring? tie bars. Thanks.
