Pants break - temporary hem? (Or, how to deal w/ shoes vs. boots)

Gents, wasn't sure if there would be an idea I haven't thought of...

I generally prefer little to no break with my pants, especially with boots. A problem arises when wearing the same pair of pants with shoes and boots. Being on a budget means it's not possible to have pants dedicated for just boots. One solution I sometimes utilize is to cuff or roll to the desired height, but that doesn't always work with certain types of pants.

Is there any 'temporary hem' solution you've tried? I was curious about: http://www.amazon.com/Hollywood-Fashion-Secrets-Temporary-Tape/dp/B004LSBMOU

I tried this once, but the results were less than desirable: http://www.amazon.com/Style-Snaps-Hem-Solutions-Set/dp/B004XVQAK6

Let me know if you have any ideas...thanks!

What if you got the pants hemmed while wearing boots with a slight break? That should give you no break while wearing shoes. Bring the shoes while you're getting hemmed as well so you can make sure you find the happy medium.

For those temporary solutions I think you (me,really) would be too self concious about it coming out or slipping and totally defeat the purpose.

Dress for style, live for results.

An interesting idea. I'll have to see if I can find that perfect medium...I'll do some experimenting.

And, I hear you on the hem tape. Maybe I'll give it a shot and report back.
