99% cotton 1% spandex pants...why dry clean?

    I think the dryer can damage the spandex. I have a pair of pants like that and after I washed them a couple of times I noticed some of the stretch was gone. Unless the fabric is really delicate, I think wash cold delicate / hang dry is the way to go.

    Same here. Cotton = wash in cold water on delicate / hang dry.


    In fact, I think I wash the majority of my clothes in cold water on delicate. Hang dry all my dress shirts too.

    found some dress pants that are 99% cotton and 1% spandex. Instructions say to dry clean but...it seems like I can just put these on delicate setting and hang dry no?
