AEs sold pretty fast. The Eastland Made in Maine sandals end today. Still at $12, so a great price for some leather sandals.

God I wish these were in my size. Literally just spent $260 on a pair and I was happy about that price lol

      They're beautiful though

Allen Edmonds Park Avenues in black calf size 10.5 C. Shoe is in good condition, especially the uppers. Heel and sole have normal wear (rubber portion of outside corner on heel has wear from not having heel taps).

I searched around to find out what certain AE resellers will take for their "offer price" on listed shoes and I came across this reseller (no affiliation). Well a pair of shoes came up so I made an offer and bingo! The offer I made was 50% off so something listed for $150 should go for $75 and so on. It is really just a waiting game to find the right pair as I saw some of the Jefferson 2.0 come up for <$200 and looked brand new except for like a wear and those are >$400 new.

I've bought shoes from him as well. My guess is that he has some sort of deal with AE where he buys returned shoes by the pallet or by weight sight unseen, and then he resells them. Or else he is directly affiliated with AE because the only thing he sells is AE shoes, and he has been doing it for a long time.

The first time I bought from him, I made an obscene offer just to see if he would reply with a counter. Instead, he accepted it. Other times he's been more stingy about budging on price. I think it depends on what his inventory is like at the time. Definitely recommend making an offer with him though if there is something you are looking at. It doesn't hurt, and he will almost always at least counter rather than out-right decline.

I've browsed his store before as well. There are definitely factory seconds in there, as evidenced by these:

Rocco - Definitely 2nds but in this case you can see the issue instead of the shoebank crap shoot and also save some money compared to the shoebank.

Yup. Very handy, especially if you want the exclusivity of reverse double monks.

What are reverse double monks? Suede double monks?

Is that a defect or a style?

Gotta be a defect, I've never seen the buckles on the instep. The St. John's has them on the outside like every other double monk I've seen.
