    Help! Shoes like this...

    http://www.johnstonmurphy.com/product.aspx?c=1215&sc=1215&pid=87584&csid=A051

Anyone know of shoes like these, that have a really simple design. I'm looking for as many as I can that look like this with almost a single piece of leather look to them, but that might fit a wider foot. Any ideas?

Ahh, wholecuts, maybe the one shoe I really want that I've managed to avoid temptation on. A couple of models from Meermin:

No idea how they'd fit though. I think somebody here bought the suede version recently, so maybe they can comment on sizing.

awesome. thanks. I figured there was a name for those. But yeah, when the price is in another language, I just assume I can't afford them.

        ha, EUR150 isn't much -- about $190-200

I was actually looking at buying that pair but in grey.

And you get VAT tax back -- it's enough to cover shipping, I've heard. Haven't tried Meermin yet but I look forward to it. Put This On did a post on how to order from them. Definitely the best bang for the buck, it would seem, in the shoe world.

Just unboxed the Letsons in grey, and suddenly had an overwhelming desire to listen to Niño Rota scores for Fellini movies. They're that kind of Italian cool.

Yeah, the VAT is removed from the price because the US does't do VAT, so it's around ~160 shipped if I recall correctly. Could be mistaken, definitely check the Put This On post.

I got the suede wholecuts on the Ama last and they fit true to size (converting from EU to US sizes, of course). Check the SF thread on Meermin for sizing details on other lasts.

Sounds great. I'll be very happy to give them a try soon.
