Orient's designs are much more understated and classic. The quality is also great (I own four which all keep great time). I've handled a few invictas and the quality seems nice (solid, heavy watches). Ignore the "suggested retail" on invictas and try not to pay more than $120 on them.

I've mostly heard bad things about the quality of Invicta, but for their Submariner knock off, but I have not had one. I have had an orient Mako for about 3 months, and it is awesome. Am planning to get another in an alternate color.

The only thing I have heard commonly is that Invicta is fine under $300 because over that you can get some better designer names or far better quality pieces, but I don't have any so I can't comment first-hand.

Has anyone done a hands-on comparison of BOTH and have insight on which is higher quality? I know there are plenty of Orient-lovers out there, but let's hear from folks who have given both a try.
