My shoe collection is severely lacking the essentials as I try to upgrade and learn more about the quality of different brands. Will be rectifying that throughout the year. As it stands:

        - grey Converse All-Star high tops

        - burgundy Cole Haan tassel loafers

        - black Brass Boot Nicolo loafers

        - black Aldo Slayman loafers

        - brown Bedstu boots

        - black Florsheim Regent dress boots

        - grey Stacy Adams Madison cap toe boots

        - brown Timberland classic 2-eye boat shoe

        - brown Magnanni cap toe oxfords

General listing, ordered by how often I wear them. Brands are all over the place, but pretty heavily leaning on DSW and UO. I live in New York and walk EVERYWHERE, so I try to stay relatively inexpensive:

Shoes I wear to the office:

            Dark brown captoe oxfords

            Black captoe oxfords

            Dark brown double monks

Cognac wingtips (my favorite, but they don't match with everything)

            Medium-gray suede wingtips

            Sand suede oxfords

Weekends only (excluding shoes for sports):

            Cognac Driving loafers

            Light blue boat shoes

            White leather tretorns

            Brown canvas converse low-top

Boots (I wear the suede wingtips and chelsea boots to the office sometimes):

            Dark brown Suede wingtip boots

            Dark brown chelsea boots

            Light brown Suede Chukka boots

            Medium brown Work boots

            Black work boots

            Sports:

            Running shoes

Tennis shoes (for actually playing tennis)

            Soccer cleats

Flip flops (to be worn post-athletic activity only)

About 20 pairs give or take.

              Dress:

AE Park Ave Black - the standard

              AE Walnut Strand - gorgeous

              Casual:

Ecco Nubuck monk strap - can dress up or down

Banana Republic Jarret blue suede - still going strong on two months wear

Tsubo striped green/brown kicks - awesome funky shoe brand

DC shoes black hightops - to feel younger

Converse chuck taylor hightops - classic

Simple blue suede sneakers - RIP Simple, you were one of the good ones...

Minnetonka brown leather moccasins flannel liner - for around the house

              Boots:

Rockport Toloni ankle boots in black and distressed brown - very comfy and versatile

Ariat Rambler cowboy boots - cause i like em and they feel great

              Ariat Prescott cowboy boots

Rockport waterproof brown suede ankle boots - for rainy weather

              Sandals:

Bjorn Reznor close toed brown leather strap sandals - for longer walking days when its warm, or for more formal. Extremely comfortable.

Rockport Elbery brown leather slide - for everyday warm weather, very comfy and look good

Teva blue thong flip flops - beach and pool or just lazy

crocs - not sure why i have these still other than they were free...

              Outdoor:

Asics gt2160 runners - my best running shoe so far, and comes in black, just wish my big toes would stop poking holes through the tops

One Sport Moraine hiking boots - best $200 shoe investment ever made for me. Almost 20 years old, resoled twice, by my count going on 3500 miles and still look barely used.

              Salomon snowboard boots

              Nordica ski boots

              New Balance white court shoes

Still looking for: nice loafers with a heel, some brown cap toes, maybe some chukkas for the fall this year.

The Details: I don't think i paid full price for any of these shoes. Stores include: Nordstrom, Macys, Zappos.com, REI, Amazon.com, DSW, Famous Footwear Outlet, RunningWarehouse.com, Sierra Trading Post, Banana Republic, and probably a couple of other brand stores like Rockport. I've only barely broken the $200 mark on the Strands and the Hiking Boots, almost everything else was less than $100 a pair, still adds up but i didn't get them all at once either.

Ghosts of shoes past (but not necessarily bad choices): Vans, Bass, Clarks, Acorn, Florsheim, Alfani, Nike, New Balance, Mizuno, Birkenstocks, Chaco, Chippewa, Giro, Frye, Adidas, Merrell, Sperry, Vasque.

I have four primary pairs and then a bunch of others I wear from time to time.

Sebago Beacon boots, brown. My go-to casual shoe.

Hawkings-McGill wingtip boots, brown. I will occasionally wear these with a suit, but mostly casual.

Cole Haan wingtips, brown. Mostly these are work shoes for me.

AE PAs, black. Almost exclusively with suits for work.
