So while taking a break at work a member of upper management was outside as well. This gentleman is always extremely well dressed. He took out his wallet to get his key card and much to my surprise I heard velcro when he opened his wallet. This made me wonder 2 things.

What does your wallet look like?

What is your take on velcro on wallets?

I have a black leather bifold Vespa wallet.

I ride vintage Vespas which is why I carry this wallet

I think that velcro on wallets is best left in high school.

    And discuss

    Here's mine :

    Brown leather bifold from Roots.

I had a velcro wallet from the dollar store in high school. I liked it a lot.

I use a Slimmy front pocket wallet. Silly name, but it's minimalist and pretty well-designed.

I used to have the inch-thick filing cabinet wallet, but it had to go.

No on the velcro, if only because I really hate that noise.

Got this over a year ago and haven't looked back. The leather is very nice. Made in the US and very slim.

They actually make a great looking cordovan one now. But that's crazy pricey.

I have a Big Skinny bi-fold that isn't exactly stylish (although I elected not to have the cheesy logo on the front) but it works extremely well for my needs:

I place more value on function over style when it comes to wallets.

            Just upgraded.

Full Bosca setup. Both in Cognac.

Small minimal wallet for the cards:

Money clip for the extra cash:

Carbon Fiber money clip from Superior Titanium... Nice if you work somewhere with metal detectors. Removes the temptation to collect random scraps of paper which I am otherwise susceptible to...

I bought a Dopp Regatta card case a few years ago. It was $30 or so and the leather is super soft. It has held up very well. The only thing I don't like is that it has a clear front sleeve for my license. It is convenient, but sort of cheapens the wallet in my opinion.

I've had a magnetic black leather Coach money clip for about 7-8 years now. I just ordered a Neiman Marcus money clip that is currently in the LastCall sale. There's nothing wrong with my Coach money clip, but I felt I wanted to try something a bit different as the Coach one doesn't have a place to hold my ID or credit cards. I just stick them in the middle of the cash and have the clip hold it all together.

I used to carry a money clip, because I hate the bulk of a wallet, and can't understand why anyone would want to carry more than the bare minimum. Then I moved to an extremely warm climate, and found that with 115+F temps and 90+% humidity, my pocket was a soggy mess of bills, so I had to get a real wallet. I bought a cheap department store brand wallet, and dealt with that for a few months, until I was in Florence and bought a nice monogrammed leather one at the Misuri store in the Piazza Santa Croce that is a bifold with a money clip. I hate it, because it's thick, but it was a good souvenir (and I got it almost free with a leather jacket I bought). Headed back to the US next month, and I can't wait to break out the money clip again.
