I have a pair of Allen Edmonds McAllister in Merlot (a burgundy wingtip) and I love them. Much more versatile than I ever would have expected. I got them in like-new condition on ebay for $70; I see them in that price range regularly. I'm not sure how to include a picture, but you can see me wearing them here: http://fromsqualortoballer.tumblr.com/post/22821530216/wiwt-casual-friday-seems-to-have-come-a-little#notes

as well as a few other posts. I think they look great with most traditional business colors, but they really shine against navy.

Ian - I just picked up a merlot pair of McAllisters too and enjoy wearing them with a gray suit or jeans. They look elegant as a balmoral with the suit, and they look irreverent and fun with jeans.

Yeah, it's a great shoe. I prefer it over the Strand, actually (although they're both great).

Hey guys, a little update. I am pretty much deciding between these two wingtips as my first pair. Thoughts ?

(saw these on Effortless Gent today, thought they looked great. Good thing he linked them)
