I own a similar pair of Adidas sneakers and the tongue is by far the most annoying thing I've seen on any shoe before. It constantly folds up along those creases and is a pain to get on. YMMV, however.

I’d be interested how others feel about the comfort of either, particularly the gazelles. The cole haan’s I’ve tried have felt a little tight in the width and they are sold out of my size in wide.
I can't speak to the Cole Haan's but I've owned several pairs of Adidas shoes and found them all to be comfortable.

There is a review of the Cole Haan’s:

I tried them on and agree with the review. Super comfortable, but definitely look like old man bowling shoes. I couldn’t get past it. I have a pair of Gazelles and a pair of Killshots. I prefer the gazelles.

I’ll second the tongue. I custom made a pair of pink suede Gazelles, same cut and the tongue is the most problematic issue. A shorter, or different material would help me out. The Campus silhouette has a shorter tongue which is better in my opinion.

These are on my list for the next time I need sneakers. They have a plain white version as well. I have no first hand experience with the brand, though.

I have the Morgen and the Geller sneakers. I highly suggest them, I keep eyeing the Geller in white with gum sole. But I think my wife may file for divorce if I bring in another pair of shoes.
The waiting is the worst part of the Beckett Simonon.

                Appreciate the recommendation!

Got my Adidas gazelles in over the weekend.

Wearing them today while WFH. They're nice and sleek. Only gripe is that I wish the whole shoe was made of the same, thicker leather as the accent pieces on the toe cap/lace area/stripes. The rest of the shoe is made of thin leather fused to a spongy backing and the tongue is some weird spongy synthetic... We'll see how that holds up. If the whole shoe was made of the same thickness leather as Stan Smiths, these would be a home run. Right now it's at third base.

Not too bad though for only $56 direct from Adidas.

Those B&S Morgen's are amazing! Wish I could stomach dropping $150 on sneakers right now.

Here they are on their first foray outside.

4/4 Update: successfully removed the gold "gazelle" label with some acetone. There's very faint reverse shadow lettering visible, but one would have to be kissing my feet to see it.

I’ve got some GAT from a German military surplus site, I think I paid $65 for 2nd quality used shoes, but they’re pretty sweet

Everlane just released a new line of sneakers with a gum sole option. They kind of have an Air Force 1 vibe.

How do you like the gellers?

For white minimalist sneakers, I'd recommend greats or Beckett simonon.

Greats are gunning a sale atm and BS do a $99 price a couple times a year (just had one).
