I think it looks pretty sharp for the price! Love Orient watches for that reason in general.
I'd get that Orient all day long over a Chinese rolex clone. Orient makes actual quality watches, and the Mako has its own style and isn't a blatant ripoff.

I gave my green Seiko 5 to the wife. Every now and again I think about taking it back for a spin around the block. Great watch the Seiko 5.

For the price point and for what I'm looking for, this one seems like a nice option. https://www.amazon.com/Stuhrling-Ori...st_bbp_dp&th=1

Nobody's gonna pretend it's a high end product, but it has the look I'm going for for a reasonable price, and is almost certainly more reliable than the rando Chinese piece.

Those aren’t bad watches by all accounts. I say go for it.

Yeah, they're decent, but they get a lot of grief from the horological community for being in the same category as Invicta (compare the "regular" price to the "sale" price that happens to be pretty much everywhere) so I may have been prematurely defensive.

I’ll always plug Bernhardt as a good value with quality build and they have two green dials right now. The auto is higher than your range but the quartz isn’t as much of of a stretch.

When I think of a green watch, I immediately think of the Seiko Alpinist. I have too many watches - but this is on my short list of what I want to get next. Price is around $500 new...

There is also a green dial version of the Cocktail Time design if you're looking for a dressier version:

The Seiko SNKM97 from their Recraft line is a horse of a different, uh, color from the perspective of case shape. It has a few things going for it: 1.) Seiko; 2.) automatic; 3.) green.
