    Wear these shoes with jeans?

Can you sport these Santoni loafers with slim fit jeans or would they look odd and out of place?

link is broken but i think you are talking about these - https://mdumasandsons.com/collection...30236290940980

if so, i say yes you can with more than just a tee shirt. A polo would probably work, a sweater, button down etc.

to me thats a fairly dressy profile so it would need to be dark jeans and a button down or button down/sweater combo. I think a polo would be a little too casual. but I will quantify my opinion by saying I dont really like polos. I dont think they look as "non casual" as most people think they do. But maybe a polo with a fine fabric and a crisp collar.

They would work, but as others have alluded to, they are on the dressy side of loafers. You would have to keep the jeans dark and clean while the top half would be fairly dressy, like a button down or sweater polo. There are certainly less traditional ways to do these with jeans, but it will creep into more of a trendy look. Feel free to go there if that’s your style.

I couldn't get your link to work. I think it works in my quote above.

Those wouldn't be my first choice for jeans, but they will work.

Do you already own them? If so, wear them with your jeans if you like. If you don't, and you are looking for something to wear with jeans exclusively, maybe look for something else?

If you want that shoe, perhaps in a tan or lighter brown might look a bit better?

But heck, I like wearing my Allen Edmonds oxblood McNeil derby shoes with jeans--why not those?

I fixed the link. I do already own them and have only worn them to the office with dress slacks. I love the low key silhouette of them and the all day comfort is surprisingly welcomed. I just wondered if they were a bit too dressy for jeans.

These also just caught my eye for pairing with jeans.

If you already own them and you like them--well, if I were you, I would wear them.

Like somebody above mentioned, I wouldn't do it with worn and faded jeans and I wouldn't do it with a raggedy t-shirt, but if you want to dress up the look of some nice jeans, wear a nice polo or button down shirt, the loafers will look great. Even work with a sports coat.

I wore my j crew kenton pacers to a wedding with a sport coat, sweater/shirt/tie combo and was perfectly happy. It was at a farm so leaned on the casual side. If you like it, wear it.

If this is the link you are talking about: https://mdumasandsons.com/collection...30236290940980 I think the shoes look out of place with jeans.

They would look odd and out of place--no question.

The sole is too thin, the last is too sleek and elongated, and the leather is too smooth. They're not bad shoes at all, but they're not for denim.

That’s an ugly shoe. You can do a lot better for $500.

Ugly? thats a bit of a stretch. I see nothing about them that elicits that strong of an opinion. besides, if you read down some, he already owns them so the shoe itself or the purchase isnt really the question.
