Reminds me of this thread from September 2017

Really? Aw man. I hadn't heard this. Well I still plan on wearing mine. Vests are just so damn functional at times.

My confession? I wear cologne, which I know is a taboo topic around here at times.

Keep wearing the vest! I wear cologne too. Such visceral hate in that thread lol.

My confessions: I still wear some of the XL-sized stuff I used to wear in my pre-Dappered days when I tended to go a size too big and dress baggy. Also, I have a ton of graphic t-shirts -- mostly band tees from concerts, but also a few funny ones like "Polytheism. Why have just one imaginary friend?"

I doubt they will shrink 3 inches though. I know that Gustin has a defined return/exchange policy but it couldn't hurt to ask...
37 is my waist size with Gustin. Too bad I don't have spare cash right now or else I might be interested in those pants.

I wear a company branded vest to work and I love the extra pockets.

                I wear cologne

                I wear boat shoes

I have 2 pair of cargo shorts for working in the garage or yard

                I have 20 ties that I haven’t worn in 2+ years

I have three suits and maybe wear one-two a year

                Now what is my penance?

Another one. I wear "trendy" basketball shoes whenever I'm not at a work meeting. Zoom air is great. This site has a good taste in boots and dress shoes, but weak in sneakers.

I have 30-40 pairs of shoes (I really don't know how many). I wear maybe 5 of them regularly, swapping mostly between white sneakers, brown suede desert boots, brown suede loafers, tan calf loafers, and brown service boots.

I own a bunch of sweaters and shirt jackets, yet live in Houston.

Own 20+ ties; never wear ties.

Own maybe 15 watches. Wear 3-4 of them.

Own multiple beard trimmers. Actually trim my beard with scissors.

Own plenty of normal socks. Always wear my goofy ones.

Hate athleisure. I'm wearing athleisure while typing this.

I can a “dressed by the internet” chameleon - I rattle back and forth between elevated workwear (levis trucker, filson cruiser, selvage denim, alden indys), fusty English tailoring (harris tweed, ocbds, wingtips), tech gear (actual ski, backpacking, mountain biking, fly fishing), and dad wear (501s, rugby shirts, sneakers). I guess that makes me a sartorial dilettante...

I tend to try and look Dappered when I go out, but at home, it's almost always athletic shorts and no shirt. Anyone else just a bum at home, or does anyone have nicer lounge wear?

I basically live in Patagonia baggies in the summer. Perfect for lounging, breezy, no need for underwear and comes in cool colors. I may also be guilty of wearing them out in the summer, when it’s 85/90 and humid I honestly don’t care and find that baggies and a casual shirt sleeve button down and boat shoes or rainbow flip flops are perfect for hanging at a beer garden or brewery.

nicer lounge wear? Is this a thing? Shorts and a t-shirt at home. On both days when it's cold in Dallas, jeans and a sweatshirt. Like you, I reserve my Dappered looks for when I leave the house. And if it's just a grocery store run, I can assure you that I am dressed and that's about it.

Same. I got sweat shorts from one of the supplement companies I use and they are so comfortable for around the house or the dog walk. Also hoodies and under armour fleece pants with a hoodie are default fall winter wear around the house or super quick errands or dog walking.

Are 501s considered dad wear? I hadn't considered this but I guess I can see it due to the straight cut and higher rise.

What's the Dappered consensus on this?
