I wore a dark grey suit to a wedding with rough brown macneils and got piles of compliments. Most of the other guys had on polos or terribly fitting dress shirts and shorts halfway down their calves....

So it should be fine, runnernjeans is spot on.

Simply put, most people who don't have a sense of style or even care about it think that those shoes are dressier than plain black or brown balmorals.

So you can make your decision based on the type of crowd at the wedding

    Appropriate at a Wedding?

Hey everyone. I have a wedding to go to this weekend as a date of one of the bridesmaids that came up out of the blue. I am going to be wearing a darker grey suit, with a light lavender shirt and a dark purple tie to match my dates dress (Unless someone else has any reccomendations for the shirt).

I was thinking about wearing a my pair of brown wingtips, since i'm a little short on cash to go out and buy a new pair of shoes, and was wondering if that would be a little too casual for the wedding or if that would still work with the outfit and be appropriate.

These are the wingtips in question.
