My latest pair of indoor shoes For working at home.—Vintage made in USA Johnston and Murphy Aristocrafts.

These suckers were $225 in 1992. I think I was making about $300 a week after taxes back then.

Got them in near new condition on eBay for $25.

I love vintage J&M shoes because my favorite lawyer mentor, who is now passed away, always wore them, And I wanted to be like him. Except for the extra 50 pounds, chain smoking habit, and six kids

Florsheim Royal Imperial from late 80's or 90's. Hard to pin down exactly.

BTW, gotta give credit to Sunny Yoo, who at somewhere around 30ish years of age, has already taken best in show at an international cobbler competition:

Right? Here’s what they looked like before.

The triangle-shaped metal tap in the heal pays homage to the original "vcleat" The toe tap is just cuz I like the way it looks.

My recently acquired 1969 vintage shell Cordovan Florsheim imperial. I will be sending them for restoration soon. I am just waiting for my other restored shoes to get back from the cobbler. He sent me a photo today of those. See below

Pics in OT when it's done in a couple months. First of several sessions so it looks like butt at the moment as it's nowhere near done. Gonna be an Assassins Creed themed ful sleeve though.
