@Thmage I think they would be good for a casual workplace, at least where I'm interning this summer majority of the guys wear jeans and sneakers so those should be fine....I think they'd look good sockless or with the no show socks with chinos, and with a dress sock for khaki's maybe, and I think you could get away with sockless fro jeans too if you wanted.

I need some help too, I'm trying to find a solid dress shoe (black first then later this summer brown) to upgrade from my crappy Rockports and I'm trying to figure out what I should buy : (looking to spend >200)

      1.'s+cap+toe+oxford?prodId=22 5006&

      2. ductRef=CROSS:

      4. Spend more money and try to get a pair of AE's from the Nordstrom Sale or on eBay

Sorry for the list but I'm just really unsure what to buy

@zerostyle: Unfortunately, they are not available in the US. You have to email your order to meermin (can't remember the email for non-Spanish orders, but it's on the sf thread). It seems that at one time you could order online, but it's been down for a while. Not been able to try them on is a bummer, but if you know your AE sizes well, the sales rep can give you the equivalent for their shoes. You can check the website as well (for viewing pleasure only :P )

@Pitt, thanks for the thoughts, I think I'll probably get them.

As for your shoes, I like the medallion, but I prefer medallions on brown. So if I were you, I would get more of a cap toe for the black. Just based on the images, I would lean more towards the first pick over the third, but I don't know about quality or about your specific feet.

I noticed these LEC chukkas ( are only $38 now. Anyone have experience with them? The reviews seem generally positive but I've never bought shoes from them before.

@thmage Appreciate the input, I agree I think I'm gonna go with a more plain black captoe that'll be safer and more formal then get a wingtip style or a brouged one for the brown pair
