I went with my AE Dalton size (10B) and they're perfection.

neminat, here's a couple older photos of my Trumans. I have the gaucho kudu smooth, and they've been gaining some nice patina as I'm not nearly as cautious with them as I am with others. They're my go-to boots for times i know i won't want to do maintenance later.

My J. Crew Ludlow Suede CTB's (eBay for only $50) were already pretty water resistant as is, but I just dubbed them yesterday and they shrugged off a hosing like it was nothing. Single coat of Sno-Seal rubbed on by hand, brushed, rubbed again, then hit with a hair dryer, then a quick brush to bring out some of the nap a little. You could do the same with a cheaper pair of suede boots, too. Looks really nice/rugged. Cheapo Viberg/Truman/etc waxed flesh.

          Wearing them today.
