If you know your Carmina Rain or Simpson size I can't stress how amazing the Löf & Tung brand is from Skoaktiebolaget. They have extensive sizing comparisons so if you've bought Carminas or AEs in the past and the sizing worked, odds are you can figure out which size you wear. They are extremely well made from some wonderful full-grain leather, goodyear welted, made in Spain. They really are a phenomenal shoe ESPECIALLY when you realize how inexpensive they are. Easily on par if not better than AEs, at a lower price point.

    I love 'em.

Beautiful! I've been looking at the Skoaktiebolaget website frequently lately.

Sunuvabitch that's beautiful. These are both from Skoakatiebogalalta#[email protected]%? I would have guessed AE Broadstreet for the foreground and J.Fitz for the mixed media affair.

Not to let Sergeant Horseyhead have all the fun:

This was done on a new pair of Cobbler Unions by going over cap with an extra dry lump of Kiwi, with a spritz of 30% isopranpol to loosen it up a bit and get it to smear evenly across the surface, followed by a lot of elbow grease. Subsequent layers were done using AE store brand carnauba wax, which is probably the best stuff I've ever used for bringing out the mirror. Just as good Saphir at 1/3 the price. I can't tell who makes it; it doesn't smell like any brand name polish I have, and the store manager didn't know either.

I did go over things with a layer or three of precious Saphir but it probably wasn't necessary.

mebejoseph, Cobbler Union might be my new favorite shoe brand. Thanks for the constant recommendations! This 888 last is sleek and ever so slightly chiseled but without the exaggerated European-ness. Very reminiscent of Carmina's Rain, only this was comfortable instantly for me, whereas Rain usually hurts for the first several wears before suddenly breaking in.

Great job! Glad you're enjoying your Cobbler Union shoes. I like the quilted insoles. I do love my CU shoes. But they mostly sit in the dust bags right now.

Yeah those are broadstreets. See more of those this week from another location.

              Rockin my Lauderdales today.

AE First Avenue. Black calf on this pair.

There's another shell show coming up.

                      I'm screwed. :P

Bourbon shell Strands from the latest trunk show. Not much to shining them, of course, but i think they look ok.

Beautiful! And not like the bourbon color AE was selling a few years ago.

No sir this is Horween's Bourbon. Same as you'd get from C&J or Carmina or anyone else who uses Horween shell. Though my calf Daltons are AE bourbon, albeit a couple batches back.

I recently bought a pair of Lerwick oxford shoe for men by Barker. I am quite happy with the quality and the durability of the product, their fitting is also superb and no disappointment with the price of the product, they are totally worth it.
