    trench coat

I own the trench coat from Banana that Joe has featured a couple times and i love it. Unfortunately my new work environment is a little more conservative (read: stuffy), and i feel as if i'm standing out with the khaki color...anyone have any suggestions on a similar coat with similar styling in a dark navy or dark color?

Bump. I'm looking for a Navy trench / mac myself.

What brands are relatively less $$ while having a sleek trench? I'm quite a "broad" individual so I want to make sure the trench doesn't look like a tent me!

I had the khaki banana trench in medium and it fit me like a tent. I'm not a big dude, but I'm no shrimp either.

I purchased it back in February and promptly hung it in the closet, only wearing it once. After calling customer service and explaining the situation, they were kind enough to let me exchange it. I opted to get the Navy Top Coat in a small to see if that fares any better:

Aside from that, I was in my local Banana yesterday, and saw the Khaki Trench marked down to $109.99 on the clearance rack. I'd say it's likely that there will be an additional 30% or so off clearance this weekend. Might be worth checking out if you want to try one on, but the consensus on the site is that most folks should size down.

I love my BR trench coat. The only thing is that I would go against Joe's recommendation for it and size down, otherwise it will be a tad bit bulky. As for an alternative, how about these:

Amazed that a khaki trench would stand out in a conservative setting. Khaki is the classic color for a trench... Navy works are a pretty conservative color, but I'd say that it's less conservative, not more, than khaki.
