I might make this a DYI project if I don't find anything affordable. What's manlier than pouring yourself a drink Man Men-style from a piece of furniture built from your own hands?

It depends on the style (and size) you like, but here are some from World Market:

If you wait for it, they should go on sale sooner or later. World Market is always rotating some kind of sale, and furniture is often in the mix - sometimes up to 40% off.

So there are certainly more elegant options but I really like using baker's racks as a as a drybar something like - http://www.amazon.com/SEI-Iron-Wicker-Bakers-Rack/dp/B000X05Y0I/ref=sr_1_2?s=furniture&ie=UTF8&qid=1337350683&sr=1-2

This is on the lower end and there are certainly more elegant options. There is a ton of storage, a nice work surface to actually construct drinks, and you can easily add overhead racks for stemware. They're also very compact.

You should go to flea markets to find some great deals. Usually you can find a cabinet that needs a little bit of work but is dirt cheap. I recommend mid-century cabinets (as nicholascrawford said, Mad Men) since they're timeless and can work with so many other styles of furniture.

I have the Crate and Barrel Kenton Bar. Not sure if they still sell it but we love it and get compliments on it allll the time. Looks like this.

    I'm bad at math. ;-)

Whenever we're in a furniture store and we see a liquor cabinet or something, one of us always takes a pose in a Mad Men-esque style, pouring a glass, etc. If you've seen the show, there's basically a drink poured from atop a liquor cabinet in every scene. =)

I do kind of like this one Joe recommended in a really old article. It's the best i've found so far in the less than $500 range. I find a lot I like $1000+ but i'd like to try and not go there if i can.

started a topic Dry bar / liquor cabinet

    Dry bar / liquor cabinet

I'm looking at getting one of these. I'd like to find something in the "dappered" price range, but that still looks good and is functional.

    Any suggestions?
