    Which socks with canvas shoes?

So I've been wondering lately, what socks do you wear with canvas shoes like the Converse or PF Flyers seen around here? Specifically I'm thinking something like the off-white "natural" PF Flyers but it probably applies to any of them. Say with jeans, darker...they seem like they look off with anything but white socks. But you're supposed to ditch the white socks, right? Gray ones look funny, and too bold colors seems like it wouldn't work, either. What's everybody else doing?

In the summer... none . Or you could also match them to your jeans or shirt... Its whatever you like really. I prefer to like the no show/sans sock feel and look in the summer though.

Heather Gray or striped socks would work fine. Just make sure the go all the way up your calf. In the summer I usually go sockless, but will don some colorful striped numbers if I'm feeling spicy. It's ok to bend the style rules every now and then.

Interesting, thanks! Usually if I'm sans socks it's sandals with shorts....never really tried it with jeans and whatnot. Will venture out there, thanks!

do remember to get the Gold Bond and sprinkle in your shoes...to avoid sweaty swamp feet.

I use those bootie/hidden socks or none at all. Depends on how long I'll be wearing them. For longer outings I wear socks, for shorter outings I go sockless.

Hidden socks slide around too much on me. I use Aldo terry cloth liners.

They absorb sweat and can be washed. Work great in boat shoes and plimsolls.
