Uniqlo Fall Line Up is in Stores

Just a friendly FYI. Stopped by Uniqlo last night, and they are starting to roll out their fall stuff.

Was really impressed by the Mac with a removable liner. They call it a Convertible Collar Coat: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/men-con...ar-and-blazers I'm a 40R and the Medium fit me perfectly (maybe a hair too long in the sleeves).

The Mountain Parka is back again. I wear this jacket probably more than any jacket I own (and I own way too many jackets): https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/men-mou...ar-and-blazers I wear a Medium in this too.

They have pique button down shirts in slim fit: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/men-eas...n-dress-shirts These are the "new" slim fit, so they were a bit baggier in the waist than I would like. I only tried on the Large, but I think the Medium would be too tight in the chest for me. Still a pretty unique shirt if you don't want to pay for Kamakura knit. You could always get it darted. Also, these run long and are a tucked in type of shirt (just like the Kamakura knit). Not meant to be worn untucked casual.

Merino v-neck and crew neck are out. Didn't try them on, but the fabric was the usual thin you'd expect out of these.

Also, I know joggers are as cursed as flip-flops around here, but if you want a lounge or go to the gym pant, these dry stretch joggers are the bomb: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/men-dry...and-sweatpants On sale for $19.90. I'm typically a Medium in pants/shorts, but I sized up to a Large for a longer length and looser fit.

I bought the "mac" in navy a few years ago. It's held up pretty well; though it has faded a bit around the buttons. Adds character, I suppose. Looks like they added a pocket to the liner. Nice touch.

Any opinions on the stretch wool suit separates? They have overlapping SKUs on the site but Im talking about the 98% wool 2% spandex. With matching pants its under $200 which seems like a deal for a wool suit?

I've been wearing Uniqlo for years and they are generally really good value and the styles are ok. I just find that some items use too much polyester for my liking, such as some of their shirts, which ends up making them stink badly after a day. They are good for affordable selvage denim and Supima cotton t-shirts, and Merino wool sweaters (albeit thin, as mentioned previously) though.

          J. Crew is doing 60% off sale with code WEDNESDAY (makes it final sale, though, so you gotta know your fit) and several of their suits are on there... would bring the total price under 300 for a full suit from j. crew.
