    Let's see your shoe collection!

The recent watch collection post inspired me. I really enjoy seeing y'alls collections, and since I have been on a serious shoe buying spree in the last year, I thought I would share. Hopefully others will share as well!

    Starting at the top left:

AE Strand, AE, Stuttgart, AE Shell Grayson, BR Wyatt, JCrew Kenton boots

AE University, BB Crocket and Jones, Wildsmith Uwing, Meermin Austerity Brouge, AE Carlyle

AE Sea Island, AE Gorham, AE DeSoto, Nike Killshot, Puma Suede

    Single Pic:

I know, I have a sickness!! Still, I am thinking of starting a "Let's see your sportcoat/blazer collection" thread.

Thank you DocDave! My searches didn't find that thread. There are some beautiful collections there.

You have a handful of jfitzpatrick shoes right? How do they stack up to the other popular brands in the price range in your opinion?

I have some MTO oxfords coming in from them.

Yes I have 4 pair from JFitzpatrick. I find them to be a step above anything else I have in material, construction, fit and shape.

They beat the pants off of Jack Erwin and Meermin which is to be expected given the price disparity. Not to say these brands don't bring value because they do. It just isn't really a fair comparison.

They edge out my Allen Edmonds too which is a closer price competitor. I think AE feels more indestructible and are much heavier, where JFitzpatrick is sleeker, lighter and "finer" in material and build quality. JFitzpatrick are beautiful "show shoes" where AEs are more utilitarian in nature.

I haven't yet moved upstream from JFitzpatrick in price so I don't know if there is a better quality/price ratio to be had from Carmina, Carlos Santos and the like, but I am very happy with what I have received from Justin.

Thanks! One of my favorites as well. I like them so much that it prompted me to get the button shoes so I wasn't just contained to buttons in the fall and winter.

Respectfully, I'd say a modest level down. I got Chelsea boots from the respective brands earlier this year to compare and the finishing, quality of leather, and construction to me was worth going for the slightly more expensive Carmina pair.
                              Best,
                              Paul
