    Shoe choices

Hey all, I currently have the Florsheim Hawley's, but am in the process of getting rid of them (if anyone would like a well-maintained Florsheim Hawley in 9.5, let me know) because they are too large. However, I'm struggling with their replacement. On one hand there is the super cheap Hawkings McGill wingtip for $50:

However, I originally had my eye set on these:

The thing is, I currently wear my wingtips when I have to wear a suit (a rare occasion, I must admit) because I don't have the funds necessary to buy Walnut Strands. Then these caught my eye. They aren't a wingtip boot, but they are still wingtips and they'd fill my dress shoe void temporarily.

    Thoughts? Thanks all.

I've tried on the Mr. B wingtip boots and was reasonably impressed relative to price point. Leather quality seemed solid and it's a well-designed shoe overall. The toe is definitely a bit wide for my taste and kinda clashes with the more modern aesthetic of the shoe overall.

Another thing, avoid ordering them online. I tried the boots on in cognac and bordeaux and the store had all four colors on display. The variance in leather quality and cosmetic craftsmanship was noticeable. Some looked perfect, others had wrinkles and scuffs in the leather. One pair even had brogues that weren't punched through. Proceed with caution.

The monstrous sole just kills those aldo's for me. Seem to casual for a suit

If you are going to spring for aldo Mr. b price point, I would hold off until you get additional $100-$150 extra so you can get some colehaans or AE. Check the reviews on Mr.B on other forums, the quality varies.
