    Creating an heirloom

In the process of moving, I discovered a pair of engraved cufflinks that my dad had given me as a boy, and it made me realize how meaningful of gift that can be.

It got me looking, and I saw Red Envelope's offerings, which are pretty freaking cool.

I love those CTA token ones. I have thought about making some myself, or at least attempting to.

When my grandmother passed away I found several of my grandpa's cuff links and old lighters. I exclusively wear his cuff links and hope to pass them down. They're nothing fancy but a nice token of a man who died when I was really young.
