Unexpectedly good casual green blazer from Gap

Here's a GAP blazer that doesn't look very good on the elongated body of the models:

It looks shapeless and cropped on them. However, in person, it's actually a very nice fit and fabric, soft with just enough structure, and half-lined in cotton. (See the very last product shot of the inside pocket for a good sense of the pleasing colour and texture.) Here's how a small looks on a five foot nine and a half inch, 170 lb. semi-fit frame (with ON jeans), who would be a 39R in BR/JCrew sizing (if they made 39R):

Sleeves are poly-lined, I suppose for ease of sliding into.

Colour-wise, my photo may be a tad dark, and the official product shots a tad light. Lighting makes a big difference on this fabric. It's called 'army green' and I think that's a good description.

im likely going to pick one of these up. I bought my first blazer a few weeks ago and was looking for something a little more formal but i am not sure i can let this one get away LOL.

I have an embarrassing number of blazers across the range, and this will probably be one of my favourites. Fits and drapes well, looks smart and masculine but not overly formal, dark enough to be versatile, light enough to go with white or cream pants (as well as blue or grey jeans), slightly textured. Plus it's inexpensive and machine washable!

Of course, much of the utility depends on how well it fits an individual. Fortunately, it comes in sizes from XS to XXXL plus tall sizes, although the sleeve buttons are functional.

Nice looking JCrew blazer. A little dressier with that welt chest pocket.

Pants --> jeans or chinos: black, dark grey, light grey, light khaki, cream, white.
Shirt --> t-shirt or henley (contrasty solid or tastefully patterned), sweater (black, deep navy, maybe wheat), collared shirt (white, very dark denim, complementary plaid)

Generally easy if you keep the basics simple and well-fitting, and add a scarf or pocket square for pop.
Very occasionally, a knit navy tie.

Hey, longtime lurker, first time poster. I purchased this Blazer in a xs (after a failed attempt with the s)and it fits amazingly, the sleeves are about a cm or 2 too long for me, but it really doesn't change how good this Blazer is imo. I'm 5'10, 145 lbs btw

Looks like a great fit on you! Though you could button it up.

Shortening the sleeves 1 cm is probably doable, even with working cuffs, but it's hardly necessary, especially for this kind of blazer. I think the sleeves are fine. It helps that the sleeves are fairly trim and high-armholed to begin with.

Would be interesting to see how other purchasers fared too.
