Here's a GAP blazer that doesn't look very good on the elongated body of the models:

It looks shapeless and cropped on them. However, in person, it's actually a very nice fit and fabric, soft with just enough structure, and half-lined in cotton. (See the very last product shot of the inside pocket for a good sense of the pleasing colour and texture.) Here's how a small looks on a five foot nine and a half inch, 170 lb. semi-fit frame (with ON jeans), who would be a 39R in BR/JCrew sizing (if they made 39R):
