Wearing a PVD-finish Victorinox Divemaster today. The leather strap is from Crown and Buckle:
A lume shot in the darkened garage. I don't know if the lume on this watch is any brighter than the other divers that I've owned, but there's certainly more of it than any other watch I've owned. The hours markers, the hands and even the bezel shine brightly when the lights are dimmed.
I love the Visodate! It's been on my list for a while -- retro excellence at a much lower price than, say, an Omega Globemaster..
Thanks! I just acquired this one in the last couple of weeks. I had had a black Visodate a while back, but sold it as I just didn't wear it that much. Also, I found the black-dial/silver-hands combination to be somewhat hard to read in low-light situations. I find the silver dial to be easier to read for some reason. Also, it looks better with the warm-weather/bright-NATO look than does the black dial.
This one will go on the wrist today. I have to see if I like the stock chapter ring. Might go solid black or brushed metal to reduce the busy look. It's also bugging me that the hash marks on chapter ring are bigger than hash marks on dial. Also might brush the case for a more tool look.
Casio-L Friday. Picked this one up on open box clearance at Target for $30. I suspect it was returned by someone who didn't realize you could unscrew a screw-down crown. That thing was screwed down tight! Replaced the stock rubber strap, but kind of itching for a NATO with some color on it. Any suggestions?
