    Belt Swag

Everyone has those clothes we enjoy shopping for (maybe shoes are your thing) and then there are those clothes that aren't so much fun (maybe you don't like looking for ties).

Belts are my downfall. So I was wondering if you guys could recommend some good belts to pick up. I barely have any and I really need to get some. Ill take any recommendations!

    I like mine from http://www.narragansettleathers.com/

If you're going to order from them it better be in the next couple days, or they'll be closed till July 4th.

I mostly have a strong dislike for Fossil products, but I have to say that my brown leather Fossil belt is my favorite belt I own. It's lasted me 5 years so far, and it's only gotten better with age. The particular model I have, the Evan, is sadly discontinued, but they have plenty of similar (and very affordable) ones on their website.

Jason or others who have used Narragansett Leathers: how does the Chestnut shade compare to the AE Chestnut? In the ballpark?

I have some Player's shoes and Cliftons I'm looking to match.

From the looks of it, these seem like more casual and not dress belts. I'm not sure what sort of belts Alex P. is looking for.

I know I don't have AE chestnuts, but I originally purchased a Narragansett belt to match my walnut strands. I found the belt to be a tad orange-y in comparison. Hard to tell from far away, but I notice it when I'm wearing them. It's a dress belt and solidly made.

Link to belt I purchased: http://www.narragansettleathers.com/belt114.html 104 BN Chestnut.

I meant AE walnut. Do they sell chestnut shoes?

Anyway, thanks for reading my mind and answering my question.

On a semi-related note: if anyone has come across a good grey belt, I'd love to hear about it - I'm on the lookout for a grey belt to match my grey suede desert boots, and have yet to find a good one.

Nordstrom Rack has some pretty good belts. You have to sort the wheat from the chaff yourself, of course, but I always see a few full-grain belts, Italian- or American-made stuff, etc. Usually in the $20-40 range.

You should keep your eye on Sierra Trading Post, as well. I picked up a pair of silk D-ring belts from them last spring for something like $6 a piece, and they are both still in perfect condition.

                  I second Jason's recommendation.

anyone have any good recommendations for fairly cheap colored belts, either woven rope type, or ribbon? Need some spring colored belts

Target has some decent-looking woven ones, including a kelly green. I don't remember the price but I'd be surprised if it were over $20. These silk D-rings from Nantucket are the ones I got from STP for $7 a piece on sale. $20 is about the most I'd pay for them, but I have the blue and the yellow and they have held up really well after a year of wear. The yellow, especially, goes with just about any spring/summer outfit.

Gap has some colorful belts in the $20-30 range, as well.

I bought this double ring orange fabric belt from LEC's outlet store. I don't see any left on the website, though:

This one is a blue fabric belt with a green stripe. It was a de-badged, but you could see under the marker that it's an American Eagle belt. Found it at Marshall's.

I wasn't too impressed with Marshall's leather belt selection, but they did have the fabric belt.
