In my teens I would wear my gshock to bed. Nowadays, I wear my fitbit to bed just to track sleep.

Watch comes off when i get home. I don't want to wear a watch to the gym. Cannot with wrist wraps or straps. Usually won't put one on unless going back out and definitely don't wear to bed.

When I get home from work, I always take off my "work watch" along with my work attire and then throw on Timex or Casio Diver. Even the nights where I lift weights in the garage, once I shower up and relax, I put a watch back on. I also put back on jeans and a tee shirt; never any sort of pajamas or lounge wear. My wife thinks it's strange that my "comfy outfit" is a pair of levis and a flannel shirt. Hell, I even put my knife back in my pocket. When it's finally time to get in bed, I'll disrobe; but only then.
I'm the same way with comfy clothes! Unless it's right before I'm ready to sleep, if I shower in the evening I always end up putting my watch back on along with a pair of jeans or non-athletic shorts (temperature dependent). I don't quite understand it, but it just doesn't feel right otherwise. Probably just habit I suppose!

Guest repliedI wear my watch to bed. I'm very nearsighted, and if I wake up in the middle of the night it's a LOT easier to look at my watch to see the time than it is to fumble around and find my alarm clock and hold it up to my face.
My standard "sleeping" watch is a Timex dive-style watch with a rubber strap. It's super comfortable, the ticking is really quiet (unlike my Weekender) and the watch has the Indiglo feature so it's very readable in pitch blackness. My Orient Ray also works well as a night watch as it's very comfortable (currently on a Bond-stripe NATO) and has good lume that is very readable after many hours of darkness.

i think only commies and nihilists must wear a watch to bed.
on top of all the discomfort, what about the TICK TICK TICK yikes. i don't want that coming for me under my pillow in the middle of the night!
I always wear my gym watch in the shower so I am not late to work, and so I can wash all the gym-yuck off of it. it's some casio plastic diver, whiteface thingy. not worried if it gets flooded.

There's a joke in here about needing a 12-hour chrono, but I just can't find it.
