    Would you rock this wallet?

It is FINALLY time to get a new wallet.

Trying to get a feel for this whole croc skin thing. Is this too flashy? Are the squares too distracting?

Be prepared to tell 9 million people that no, it is not in fact real croc skin. I wouldn't carry one, myself.

+1 Big_Scooter. I personally avoid croc embossed because when I finally do have some croc, it will be real. I picked up a Fitzroy watch (very sexy, would recommend it) and it came with a croc embossed strap. Still Looking for a way to get real croc on it. I'm willing to spend $70 or whatever the band may cost because got the watch for a very good price but Fitzroy has proprietary bands. Would have to see how a normal band and spring bar might work.

Nice catch! Late night browsing failed to identify that small fact.

Yeah I would avoid the croc. I've been personally hoping that Joe (or someone on here) would post up a good card case. I really want to slim down what I carry around.

@Philly - No way, not even if it was real croc.

@Jordan - I've been thinking about getting one of these three:

i think the chester mox is my top choice. i still need to pull the trigger and order.

for a comprehensive listing of card cases, take a look at this: http://thesilentist.tumblr.com/post/...wallet-roundup

I wouldn't rock it purely because I couldn't do a real wallet anymore. I got one of these: http://www.freshbornmarket.com/2010/10/il-bussetto-slim-wallets-card-cases/

Used to be at Bonobos (prob a year ago or more), but it's amazing. Wish I had ordered two so I had a backup for when this one finally gives out. Not sure where you can get them anymore, but it was well worth the $50 or so I paid.

Prior to that, I had a money clip wallet from Tumi which was great, it just was too think due to all the junk i'd keep in it... similar to this: http://www.tumi.com/product/index.js...ndSrc=paramNav However, mine was a brown leather, more conservative/traditional and less "sporty" than the black.

Hmm I like the Chestor and the saddlebrook. The natural looks a little plain, but i bet it would look really good after it got distressed a bit.

@Juan: I have the Saddleback one in Dark Coffee and absolutely love it. It has also garnered a fair few compliments.

The chestermox looks great! I also like the one that bonobos had...I wish I jumped on it when I had the chance. I have one from Brooks Brothers that has held on for at least 5-6 years, but I've been starting to look for a new one.

@MattC - You sold me on the Saddleback one. I just ordered it in Chestnut. They have a 100 year warranty, so that tells me it's well made.

I've been carrying the magic wallet from J.Crew for the last two years, and it's definitely the best wallet I've ever had:

Super slim and comfortable in my front pocket, and way easier to get cash into and out of than a card case. And it's shockingly cheap for J.Crew - $24.50, and still looking just as good as the day I bought it.

Also - I used to be one of those guys who carried every business card, rewards card, and important scrap of paper in my wallet, and my biggest concern was that I wouldn't be able to survive without all that stuff. But I took all those cards and wrapped a rubber band around them and stuck them in the top drawer of my desk, and you know what? I've almost never taken them back out of my desk. I carry my driver's license, debit card, Metrocard and gym card, and that's all I need.

I recently had to slim down the wallet. I have been using a front pocket wallet for sometime, but I had expand a bit too much. Even without its bulging from a few too many cards it had the money clip that was poking out if I wore flat fronted pants. So, I switched to this little guy. I carry 3 membership cards, 1 credit card, 1 debit, and car and health insurance cards in addition to my license. They all fit into a very slim little wallet that I am loving. I have only had it for 2 weeks so I can speak to its longevity.

@brooklyn87 Picked up a magic wallet tonight at your recommendation. Great suggestion. I really like it so far. Hopefully it will last. You have any problems with cards/cash falling out? I'm a little worried about the straps not holding stuff in.
