Hey I bought this 1960s London Fog coat at an estate sale for ONE DOLLAR. Thoughts. It's in perfect condition and my exact size. I love the look but I'm a 54 year old male teacher and I've heard older men wearing vintage looks sad. Thoughts? https://true-value-vintage.myshopify...aux-fur-collar

So I got a good one, after a series of misses I mentioned. This is my new favorite spring blazer. It's a older (maybe 70's or early 80's) Brooks Brothers one. The fabric is light and delicate, drapes absolutely awesome. It's subtle but effective. i love it.

Need help.......polished cobbler, or shell cordovan? I am not sure if I see the micro creases of polished cobbler:

I've owned those exact loafers before. Definitely not shell, but definitely comfortable on my AE9D foot. For that price, if they fit my foot, I'd grab them.

Thanks! That really helps. I might hold out for the AE Grayson since I know the fit and want calf grain or shell. Just thought I might get lucky on EBay

Tough call, I think I see some creasing but the photos aren't very good. It shows the model number, you could try looking it up to see if it says whether it's cordovan or not.

Greatest thrift store find to date. A Pal Zileri in some type of med/light gray check. Didn't even know really what I had until I googled it. I could just tell from the hand feel and the look. Finding it was amazing, the fact that it fits (slightly big in the shoulders but only the dappered crowd would probably notice and slightly short in the sleeves, but enough material to let it out a 3/8"-1/2") is incredible! I'll try and take some pics next time I wear it.

The two best record finds. Different stores, consecutive days. Both GW.

$300 for two records? Paid less than $2.50.

Not a true thrift find, but found some Alden loafers for a steal at a Marshalls today. They run a little big so these are a 7.5, but for more like a 8.5. I'll be posting them to the Swap and Shop if anyone wants them. Also, there was a pair in size 12 (so really like a 13) if anyone wants them I can go back.

the other day i thrifted about 7 amazing sport coats. they're all size 42, which unfortunately does not fit me (and just BARELY too). I'm going to post a couple of them, just to brag a tiny bit.

this amazing 1983 or so J Press donegal tweed.
