After months of looking through shoes I finally found three pairs that were winners today... unfortunately none fit so if you'd like any details please let me know! Otherwise I'll try and sell locally. Did find a nice BR blazer and my first navy blazer that fits almost perfectly from Ralph Lauren as well.

From left to right: J&M Brown Loafers 9.5, Burgundy AE Enfield 11.5B and Black Alden Split Toes (Not sure how to find width on the Aldens, best I can tell they are size 9)

A few modest finds from the last week...

Also found a fully canvassed Norman Hilton navy birdseye suit that should fit like a glove once the sleeves are let out a bit. Pants are pleated which is a bummer.

Nice finds! Those gold buttons on the Hickey Freeman depict St. George - he's usually shown mounted on a horse slaying a dragon. I believe he is the patron saint of England, and also the cavalry and armored military forces (he is one of the only saints typically depicted mounted). What size is that bad boy?

what size is the HT? I have been looking for one in that colour scheme.

I also snagged three legit Harris Tweed jackets in various sizes; two were daily specials for $0.99! I plan on cutting them up and making things from the fabric, since they're so odd sized.

Wow thanks for the great info! It's pretty big - I believe it's tagged a 46R. I'll have to check tonight.

Unfortunately, it's untagged - it fits like a 38R and is nipped at the waist. I can provide measurements tonight.

Holy mackerel on the $0.99 Harris Tweeds - the one that I posted is the first one I've seen in my area and I've been thrifting pretty regularly for 3+ months.

I thrifted a nice hardy aimes tweed jacket for about 6 bucks. Can anyone speak to its quality?

AE Byron in brown and Park Avenue in burgundy, both in my size. I bought with the intent to make many dollars, but I might add them to my collection, which is rapidly spiraling out of my control.

Pics? The few vintage Hardy Amies I've seen have been of pretty high quality - quality fabric, half canvassed, lots of hand stitching.

Niiiice. I've worn my $2.00 AE Chesters about 10 times since I found them last month. Very satisfying to find shoes in your size even if you've got a mammoth collection already.

Also remember that trading with other thrifters is just as good, and sometimes better, than thrifting on your own.

I'm picking these up as trades:

                          Recent Chester Barrie:

And a BB Blazer in my size, LP fabric

I've seen you post on the SF thrifting thread - that forum is a bit intimidating for newcomers.

Would be great to get a core of thrifters looking to trade on Dappered.

Today, the wife and I went to another 2nd Ave. (this time in Columbia, MD) and I picked these up.

                              Taut Topper Wright Arch Perservers
$6.45, cleaned them & can't wait to sport!

                              Sorry for the terrible lighting.

Had some time this morning to take advantage of the Veteran's Day sales around town. Picked up some eBay fodder (2 gloriously ugly Coogi sweaters and a Coogi cardigan) and some more wearable items (hardly worn J&M Meltons, Aquascutum Aqua 5 trench, Brooks Brothers light blue windowpane sport coat). These three oddities were my favorites:

NWOB Foot-Joy Classics white pebble grain leather uppers and leather soles with metal spikes:
