nice pickups @n0rm. Glad to see good prices too, can't imagine paying $50 for a thrifted suit or $40 for thrifted shoes. I haven't checked in on stock in a while so I'm past due. I'm looking for that fur coat for <$20 just because.

Thanks jonATL. Unfortunately, I live in a pretty rural area, so thrift stores generally don't have brands like brooks brothers and hickey freeman.

Anyone need a Harris Tweed overcoat? The zip-in lining needs a bit of work, but this would keep you more than warm without it.


The size is probably in the 40-42 range

Sleeve (raglan): seem to be about 24-24.5, measuring from what seems to be the shoulder


Shoulder: I'd say about 18, plus or minus half an inch

I usually don't pick up Banana Republic while thrifting for myself, but this Tailor Fit 40 S fit really well. And it has peak lapels!


It's black corduroy, but I'll wear it with jeans, and it will work.

i went to the salvation army on marietta and it was mostly a bust, but then i came across the ties... 3 bucks for any tie. i found a really nice condition brooks brothers pink, a nice colored merona tie... and then this one:

there were a pair of black AE shoes in my size for 20, but they were pretty beat u p.

That's pretty nice for $3. My local resale/consignment store sells Zegna ties for $20-30 apiece (there's the occasional Isaia tie mixed in!), and the patterns are not as nice as the one you found!
