Anyone know how to care for Crazy Horse type leather?

I have the AE leather Conditioner/Cleaner, so I was thinking of just using that on them when they get dirty. The leather is not meant to be polished, so don't know if there is anything else that I should be doing to it.

I just use the AE leather conditioner/cleaner on my rougher leathers and it's worked out pretty well so far.

Saddle soap should work fine for cleaning, Venetian natural for protect/etc. is what I use on Horween chromexcel.

Yeah, the chromexcel is oil tanned so it has lots of oil infused, but over time it can dry out if not conditioned. I use Venetian cream on my shell cordovan (which is also oil tanned) because Nick Horween recommended it.

What's the leather on those? Is it oil tanned chromexcel? Venetian cream probably works okay on regular leather, too, but if it's just rough calf hide I'd go with Lexol or other regular leather conditioners.

@JC - I think it's rough calf hide but not sure.


Where do you guys get the Venetian Cream? I searched online and the two places that sell it charge twice the item price to ship it.

Thanks guys! The quart from those two places comes out to just under $24 shipped and Oak Street was charging me close to $17 shipped for 2 ounces.
