    Heirloom quality wallet

    Good evening everyone,

I am looking for an heirloom quality wallet to use and potentially hand down to my children.
There are so many wallets, some with questionable quality, some with excellent quality and some with superb quality. Where is a good place to start?
I'm a sentimental person and I remember the feeling from having something that a close relative carried and lived with for years...something so deeply personal that you can't help but smile and feel warm inside when it's given to you.
    That's what I'm looking for.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Heirloom quality wallet

Even the best quality wallets get worn with use. It's simply the limits of leather. A watch would be better for an heirloom.

    You could try Ettinger. http://www.ettinger.co.uk

Check out Ashland Leather (connected to Horween), particularly a shell cordovan offering. Shell is quite expensive, but feels like it'll last forever. This is a bifold I would highly recommend: http://www.ashlandleather.com/produc...elllimited.htm

Money clip. Wallets aren't usually heirloom items. It would be like heirloom socks.

If there's any place where you can find an heirloom wallet, it's somewhere in here: http://www.styleforum.net/t/215158/m...ses-victorious

I think this is a great idea. You can get the clip engraved etc. I love the sentiment but I don't know of anyone that has their dad's wallet. Most have a watch, money clip, tie bar etc.

As much as I'd love to use a money clip, I seemingly lose them constantly. Doesn't matter if they're cheap or expensive, I've lost my fair share of money clips.
I like the idea of a watch as a heirloom but I've already got a few of those in the rotation and seemingly keep adding them. I would have to minimize my rotation to get the "heirloom" feel out of them by wearing them pretty regularly.
What watch would stand the test of time?(pun intended)
                What else could I use

I have heard good things about Chester Mox. There is a good write up here: http://fromsqualortoballer.com/chestermoxreview/

I have the compact bi-fold on order and am looking forward to receiving it.
