Casual Shoe/Sneaker Recommendation for Dark Denim; Styles and Colors wanted...

I'm looking for a pair or two specifically to wear with darker denim. Nothing fancy or dressed up. Budget is less than $75. I want a sneaker or casual shoe, not an oxford or brogue. What colors do you guys pair up with your dark denim? Since it's November lets stay away from the classic white. Right now I currently go with a black pair of Vans or Chucks. Is grey or olive a sound choice?

    What about these two?

At your budget point of 75 & not wanting too "dressy" i.e. brogues or bluchers, go with Clarks DBs in beeswax. They are made for dark denim. For sneakers, I wear Vans originals in washed navy, swapped out the laces for hiking boot laces. JC also has a "washed nickel grey" color that is sharp. Chucks would work too, but if I wear chucks only in pristine white.

With darker jeans, i'm a big of some more neutral colours like the grays and sand colour. I'm a big fan of the pop in colour, and the contrast is always nice

I love wearing my Adidas Gazelles with a pair of dark denim. Good colour variation in the show (light blue, navy, white, etc) and the show is low key enough that it kind of slides under radar yet you still look well put together.

I know this post is a few years old but do you know the specific name/style of those Onisuka tigers?

Dark Jeans are pretty forgiving. Today I'm wearing black Doc 1460s, but I often wear mine with chippewa service boots, vans, Chucks, and a pair of burgundy low top leather sneakers.

I think any sort of "athletic" shoe would be fine so long as it isn't too technical looking (Stan Smiths yes, Air Pegasuses, no). Either from your original post would work fine too. Oxfords too if you wanted to be more of a dressy casual

Colorado 85 denim I think. I tried to find some on sale and they look pretty sold out.

I have had a couple of pair of Seavees and love them. They're really clean looking, and comfortable to boot. I have the linen color, but they have darker shades as well.

Yeah those are Colorado 85's. Onitsuka Tiger makes them in a bunch of different color combos. I love mine. Also suggest desert boots - clarks are available in a bunch of different colors...
