I agree with what has already been said about the jacket length. It's on the shorter side for sure but it still looks passable and most people won't notice at all. Shoulders and collar are spot on.

      Remake

I requested a complete remake from Black Lapel and their second attempt arrived this week. The first suit is here. Overall I think this is much closer to the mark. Compared with the first attempt, this has a longer jacket, narrower shoulders, less waist suppression, slightly smaller chest, slightly wider arms, and looser thighs. I haven't steamed the suit yet, but it seems like there's some wrinkling or bunching in my right breast area on the jacket. I'd appreciate other thoughts and suggestions.

Ignore the apparent color mismatch between the pants and jacket. There was an open window near me that seems to have only illuminated my lower half with daylight.

Sean, looks good to me. Has it already been tailored?

Yes by an old school tailor who actually had to let it out because it was too tight in the chest and back. It is pretty old

The thing about it is I think the shortness coupled with the big lapel and the flap pockets might make this look a bit "bell" shaped

One suggestion was to take it in at the waist a bit but I am not sure if this is will work. Maybe this is best suited to wear with sweater and jeans or cords in the winter.

I don't have an unlimited budget so maybe it is best as a keep for now

Maybe even worn open? Is that a style offense with a sportcoat and sweater to not button?

Sean, I don't think that you're going to be able to improve that fit with more tailoring. You could take the waist and hips in, if you're a skinny guy under there, but otherwise that is how a classic sport coat drapes. It's not overly short, and the lapels haven't strayed into 1970's territory. I think that it'd look just fine with dark denim or cords and a sweater. I'd button while standing, and unbutton while sitting.

                  Thanks for the advice Bruchetta

I think what you posted in the crux of my issue. For this SC I wish it was a little longer to be fully classic. The cut to me is a little short to be cut this way IMO. I have a few other SC that are this short but they are summer/spring coats

I am 6'1 190 or so. Certainly not my most flattering SC but I think I can make it work.

here is me in a cotton SC of the same length. I think this looks somewhat better

I really think Jacket length has to do with height and proportion between leg and torso. I prefer short jackets because I'm 5'9. Not topman style short but not traditional length by any means.

The cuff of the sleeve comes right to my middle of my wrist. The only thing is that I feel alot of "bunching" at the waist when I tuck it in, but I'm not sure if a tailor can do anything about that or not???

Besides getting my sleeves shortened, is there anything else I should have done? perhaps tapering in at the waist?

The paranoia in me is making me think it's too wide in the chest. Is this an easy and relatively cheap alteration?

Yup, a tailor can slim the sides or dart the shirt for you. It's worth inquiring for sure.
