    I second this.

i just bought a new jcrew ludlow suit and I am having an issue with the shoulder kind of rolling and not laying flat. Is this a fit issue or is it from shipping and will steam out? I've never seen this before.

Oh man, that is weird! Have you tried steaming it out yet? You could also take it to your tailor to get their opinion. Otherwise, the fit looks great!

I'm on a mission to find my "perfect" jeans. I've recently lost weight and my jeans are falling off me. Also, I've always been a straight fit guy, but I really like the more polished silhouette of a slimmer fit. Problem is I'm having a hard time finding a slim that works. Here I am comparing a pair of Bonobos Stretch Lightweight Jeans in Slim (34x32) to an old pair of Levi's 505 Straight Fit (36x32). The Bonobos fit perfect around my waist but you can see they are "pulling" around my thighs and butt. The Levi's just have a lot of extra fabric.

I know I'm not super slim, and that its easy for a guy my proportions to look silly in too tight slim, I just want a good tailored look. I don't have pictures, but a few months ago, I tried BR Slim Fit (36x32) and I was shocked at how baggy they were. Laying them over the top of my straight fit jeans, they seemed to have the exact same cut. Maybe if I sized down it would work better?

Looking for any suggestions on brands and fits that would work better for me.

Ninja edit - I've tried on some athletic fit jeans in the past, and found that they were roomier up top than I need and that the calf/ankle was too narrow. I don't know why some brands make them narrower than slim fit at the bottom. Seems that is too drastic and makes you look too top heavy? Open to suggestions on brands that do athletic fit right though.

            Welp, how does this fit?

I'm not quite ready to give up my college jacket, and it kind of relates to my job, so I'll hang on to it as long as I can.
Covid weight-gain notwithstanding, is this jacket fitting correctly? It feels loose in the chest, and a little in the sleeves.

Is it possible or worth it to tailor this jacket?

I'm sure it's possible to tailor anything, but based on the pictures I wouldn't bother--it looks fine as is.

This looks like how a jacket should fit to me. Little bit of room to be able to reach in there if need be and a bit of an air pocket for warmth.

I agree that it is a bit too large. In addition to what you mentioned, the seams on the sleeves seem to be lower than your shoulders.

However, with this type of jacket, I don't think the fit is very critical. It is not so large as I would bother to get it altered.

Also, for the price you would pay to have it altered, you could probably buy something. If you're going for chest, sleeves, and shoulders, you could spend $150.

WHY ARE THE GUYS IN SUITS HERE? HAS SOMETHING GONE WRONG?

I'm a big fan of the Levis Vintage Clothing 1967 505 0217, they are a great cut for bigger guys I,m 6ft tall and weigh around 15 stone (size 34w/32l) very different than regular 505s

                    Quite a high rise/zip fly/gentle taper

They are sanforised selvedge so won't shrink much at all they also do a 33w if your between sizes
I would say the sizing is true to size

Reasonable priced at about £140 uk/but they pop up often in sales and ebay

Another option might be Spoke London, I buy my Chinos from them and they are good for the money/good fabrics and quality hardware (they even have regular sales)

They have loads of sizing options and three different builds (I order 34W 31L in build B)

and they will work with you until you nail your perfect fit/free returns (Once you know your fit you can just order anything and it will be perfect every time!!!)

                    https://spoke-london.com/collections/denim

                    Hope this helps

On the fence of keeping or returning. First is a heather tan; second is camo green. Both fit well but would return because only one layer would be able to fit under. Sleeves are ever so slightly above the knuckle.

                      Thoughts?

                        Beautiful coat!
How do you feel about the shoulders? The point of the shoulders looks like it might be a little bit closer in towards your ears rather than being at the end of your actual shoulder. Might be a little small there, which is making the layering tough.
Someone once told me, if it's uncomfortable, it doesn't fit. I guess the flip side is if it's comfortable, it fits, and you don't need to second-guess.

                          Appreciate the feedback...

Shoulder feel good. No tightness per se.

Did try on the next size up and it was entirely too big (shoulder seams extended well pass the shoulders).

Green looks small to me so I would get the next size up and have it tailored. Tan looks good.
