Looking for some feedback on these pants and jacket. I've been having a hard time nailing down which pants fit my legs. I think the BR pants will be the best if i brought the waist in and tapered the leg down to 8.5" ish.

        Indochino Jacket - fit?

Thrifted this the other day. Love the shoulders and sides, but mixed on the length. Thoughts?

I think the biggest thing you might want to reconsider on the pants, regardless of the fits elsewhere, is the length. If you like cuffing, then it's not as big a deal on the jeans--I personally have a couple pairs of jeans I buy long so that I can cuff them. The cords, however, seem long by an OTR size. Have you considered going down to a 32" inseam? You won't get so much bunching in the leg and the look will be more polished and make you look taller as a result. Of course, if 32" is TOO short, you can always stick with the 34" and have them tailored.

Other than that, either jean looks good, at least from the pics. I'd say go with whichever is comfortable, though if you also go shorter, the slightly slimmer 505 will probably be a better bet. I think the jacket looks good as well.

The sleeves are a touch short, but I think it's wearable, especially if you got a good deal. And while the body length is a little short too, I think if you're wearing it as a separate, i.e. not as part of a complete suit, it's fine. It seems to fit really well everywhere else.

Thanks for the response! I feel the same about the arms, but actually felt like the body length could have been a little shorter. Glad to hear it works =p.

Someone actually dropped off 3 of these things at a Goodwill--I got all 3 complete suits for about $45. Pants need to be tapered, but really can't beat that for 3 decently fitting, beater suits!

It most definitely works. Better to have sleeves, and body, a little too short than a little too long IMO. I envy thrift-store finds like yours. I live in a place where the only men seem to be miniature or gigantic, i.e. everything is either two sizes too small or six sizes too big. Good on your for digging those out.

Looks good! As long as there is room is you want to add layers. My JC Peacoat is a little more loose when not wearing as many layers.

The fit looks right. What is your height/weight and what size did you get? How much padding is in the shoulders? Are you going to shorten the sleeves? They look ok as is, just a tad long.

I'm 5'8 145 I ordered a small, there is some considerable padding in the shoulders, I was also thinking to shorten the sleeves a touch how much would you suggest? Aside from that do you think I need to size down to an XS or would it be too constricted

I like how yours fits in the shoulders and body. I wouldn't go down to XS since that would probably be too tight. If you have a trusty tailor, my preference would be to shorten the sleeves by about one inch.

Your post is prompting me to try one out. I was hoping there would be minimal shoulder padding, it was hard to tell by the pictures on their website. I was also debating between and small and XS. I am skinnier than you (5'7" and 125 lbs) but I will still try a size small. my chest size is about 36, and their size chart says 36 corresponds to a small. If I like the shoulders and chest, i might get the waist and sleeves tailored.

I'm using the 25% off code and it comes with free shipping. I also linked in through the discovercard site, so I should get 10% cashback bonus on this purchase.

I could always return it if I don't like it.

I scooped mine off ebay as well. Got it for a steal at 105. It came in a jc bag and box with the tags on it . (Love ebay)The sleeves are a little long on mine too. However I am not tailoring it bc I'd rather have outer wear a little big/longer when it get real cold. Function over for IMO especially when it is so minimally off.

LCDR the shoulders aren't very padded. Maybe even not padded at all. Keep in mind that the dock peacoat is really a traditional peacoat in that it is a structured and thick. it really does remind me of a vintage USGI peacoat in that regard, but the sleeves are a little slimmer. for sizing I got a Medium Tall and I wear a 40L in most jackets. At a 36 inch I would be tempted to try a xs.
